A pair of Ontario Sires Stakes Gold divisions shared the spotlight on Thursday (June 27) evening's card at Woodbine Mohawk Park as the sophomore males met for their second leg in the series. Each division carried a $95,000 purse. Northern Looker posted the swiftest time with a 1:54 victory in his eight horse division. Trevor Henry eased the Camilla Christoforou student out of post five and into fourth position off the car and into the first turn. Passing the :27.4 quarter, Northern Looker sat idly as the field shuffled around him. Northern Looker 'looked' on as he gained position in third through the :57.1 half. After the half mile marker, Henry made his move. Northern Looker achieved second from the outside on his first over journey by the time the three-quarters was reached in 1:26.
